Question. How can family members of the person with a gambling problem protect the household's finances?

Answer. Problem gambling can lead to debt, bankruptcy, and drain not only the gambler's financial resources, but the resources of other family members as well. Fortunately, there are things that can be done to protect the household’s finances, such as consulting a financial advisor and assuming responsibility for the gambler’s ATM or credit cards.
